Katherine is currently a Washington state licensed in Property, Casualty, Life and Health Insurance Agent, Partner with Yew Street Insurance. She was first licensed in insurance in 2001 managing, analyzing, and contracting, insurance, banking, and variable product sales for State Farm Insurance. In 2004, she was Assistant to the CEO of TalkingRain Beverage company where her experience was utilized to evaluated and reported financial, sales, inventory and distribution data to develop and implement appropriate risk mitigation. She participated on the product development team bringing ideas from concept to market and monitored project management for facility expansion.
Ms. Tranter joined Boeing BCA in 2005 where she held various positions in Procurement, then Estimating. She managed multimillion-dollar major structures and propulsion component contracts. Actively monitored international and domestic supply chain performance to optimize quality, cost, and production schedule in support of 737, MAX, 747-400, 747-8, 767, Tanker, 777, and 787 production rate delivery requirements for purchased parts. Conducted operational, proposal and procedural audits of supplier data and systems including close-outs, terminations, partner managed inventory, rates and factors. Build process analysis utilized to ensure cost avoidance through Lean manufacturing and design of complex detailed processed metallic and carbon fiber assemblies.
Ms. Tranter has a well-rounded collective background of over 19 years of management, contracting and compliance experience in the insurance, wholesale manufacturing, aerospace, and retail industries, further complemented by a strong sales and marketing background. Katherine is a graduate of Central Washington University, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. She has also earned Executive Certificates in Negotiations from the University of Notre Dame, Mendoza College of Business, as-well-as, multiple project management certificates, and previously held Securities Series 6 and 63 Securities Exchange Commission registration.
A native of Washington, she is interested in the economic and socioeconomic well being, development, and improvement of the local community. She currently resides in Whatcom County, WA with her husband, Mark, and three young daughters, Cynthia, Claudia, and Claire. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and traveling.
